Strengthening Cross-Border Collaboration Across Key Jurisdictions
The Spain office continued to expand crossborder collaboration across multiple jurisdictions.
The team worked with the France office on employment and tax matters, supporting a French company hiring in Spain and assisting with financial reviews related to potential loan claims.
Collaboration with the United States remains ongoing, particularly in assisting clients with crossborder tax regularization through Aliant tax specialists.
The office also partnered with Bulgaria on a joint article addressing posted workers in Europe.

Advising on High-Impact Innovation and Strengthening FinTech Presence
The Israel office had a highly active quarter across transactions, industry engagement, and community initiatives.
A major highlight was advising on the acquisition of Metomotion Ltd., an Israeli agri tech robotics company, by Navus, the investment vehicle of the Lely family office. The transaction required complex negotiations with shareholders and management and positions the company for continued innovation in agricultural robotics.
The office also joined the Israeli Fintech Center, a central body for fintech collaboration in Israel, which includes leading financial institutions, investment firms, and technology players.

Following this, Adv. Gideon Koren participated in a webinar addressing intergenerational transfer of fintech assets, focusing on crypto estate planning.
In addition, the firm continues to provide pro bono legal support to NGOs, including the Mitchashvim Project, which promotes digital inclusion and environmental sustainability through the distribution of refurbished computers.

Leading Cross-Border Infrastructure and Regulatory Engagements Across Europe
The Austria office reported a strong quarter with significant client wins and strategic initiatives.
The team onboarded two major clients, including a multinational public sector solutions provider operating across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, and a regional infrastructure operator requiring regulatory alignment.
Building on this, the office was appointed lead counsel for a multi authority procurement project involving critical infrastructure across multiple jurisdictions.
The team also launched a structured LinkedIn content strategy and formalized a DACH Turkey collaboration to support crossborder business activity.

Delivering Strong Litigation Results and Cross-Border Commercial Success
The Poland office delivered a strong quarter marked by litigation success and strategic crossborder advisory work.
A key achievement was the successful protection of a client’s brand through a timely opposition to a competing trademark application.
The team also concluded a multi year dispute involving defamation and infringement of personal rights. In January, a criminal court issued a final judgment finding the former employee guilty and ordering compensation. This was followed by a civil court judgment in February confirming the infringement and requiring a formal apology.
In addition, the office advised on a multimillion partnership for the distribution of woodworking machinery in the Netherlands and Denmark, successfully concluding negotiations on favorable terms.
The team also handled three Swiss franc loan cases, all resolved through satisfactory settlements with the banks.

Poland’s work demonstrates strong capabilities in litigation, IP protection, and crossborder commercial transactions. These are highly transferable areas where other offices can collaborate, particularly in EU related disputes and distribution agreements.

The Hungary office played a leading role in regional thought leadership during Q1.
Team members contributed to the STEP Hungary 2026 Conference, addressing crossborder wealth structuring, compliance, and estate planning challenges.
The office is also a founding member of the Family Business Succession Hub, supporting Hungarian family businesses through multidisciplinary collaboration.
In addition, the team continues to strengthen ties with the Cyprus office and is developing a more structured joint service offering.

The team secured a full recovery on a complex six digit claim involving multiple components, an outcome that is rarely achieved in cases of this nature.
In parallel, the office continues to engage in ongoing business development efforts, including discussions with an East Asian airline that may lead to a future engagement.
Despite broader market challenges, the team remains focused, active, and well positioned for continued growth in the coming quarters.

The France office continues to expand its crossborder collaboration efforts.
The team is currently involved in a litigation matter with Cyprus Airways in collaboration with the Cyprus office. In M&A, the team participated in a transaction that did not proceed due to competitive bidding, though it reflects continued involvement in high value deals.
Looking ahead, new opportunities are emerging through a developing partnership with Morocco, which is expected to generate additional crossborder work.
The office is also exploring how to present its integrated legal and accounting collaboration model to the broader network.

France’s growing pipeline and partnership strategy highlight how crossborder collaboration can generate consistent deal flow. The integrated legal and accounting model may serve as a template for other jurisdictions.

The India office experienced a strong quarter marked by expansion, client growth, and internal development.
A key milestone was the opening of a new branch in Mumbai, alongside the introduction of Global Capability Centre services to support multinational clients.
The office engaged new multinational clients and expanded its team, including new employees and trainees.
The team hosted internal events including a session on the India Union Budget 2026 and live streaming of the budget announcement. It also sponsored masterclasses on the New Income Tax Act 2025 for employees.
Team engagement remained strong through initiatives such as an offsite program, monthly celebrations, and Women’s Day events.
Looking ahead, the office plans to onboard new leadership roles, including a Director for the Japan Desk and a Director for Legal and Secretarial practice.

Advancing Culture, Community, and Professional Development
SPL reported a highly active quarter focused on recognition, internal development, and community engagement.
The firm received recognition from the University of Nicosia for its support of internship programs and from the Pancyprian Volunteerism Coordinative Council for its contributions to volunteer initiatives.
The team participated in CPR and first aid training, as well as workplace health and safety programs, reinforcing a culture of preparedness and employee wellbeing.
SPL also hosted its annual gala dinner and organized a wide range of community initiatives, including blood donation drives, school supply donations, and charitable campaigns supporting families in need.
