Corporate Practice Group

Navigating Complexity While Embracing Innovation

Achievement Spotlight

The Corporate Practice Area Group had a productive start to 2026, marked by strong engagement and valuable insights.

A highlight of the quarter was exceptional guidance from Timothy Mills (Aliant LLP, United States) on US tariffs under the Trump administration. His clear analysis and accurate predictions regarding Supreme Court rulings were highly appreciated by the group and provided meaningful clarity on a complex topic.

The group also explored future-facing innovation with a demo of a new AI model led by AJ Merrill (Aliant LLP, United States). The tool, designed to support client intake and better assess client needs, was first reviewed by a smaller group and later presented to the full PAG. It was well received, with strong potential for broader use across Aliant.

The Corporate PAG has now transitioned to a bi monthly meeting cadence, supporting more focused and effective discussions among its approximately 20 active members.

How Members Benefit

The group is focused on turning strong relationships into active collaboration. Members are exploring a multijurisdictional initiative designed to highlight corporate capabilities across several offices, while ongoing discussions continue to surface referral and co counsel opportunities.
